Jameis Winston Buccaneers career

It’s not yet known what the Las Vegas Raiders are going to do with Pro Bowl quarterback Derek Carr. It has been reported over the past several months that they plan on trading him. There’s now conflicting reports in that regard.

However, head coach Jon Gruden and Co. are obviously checking out the free-agent market for a potential replacement. According to Rick Stroud the Tampa Bay Times, Las Vegas has interest in Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston.

This is interesting on many different levels. If Gruden was frustrated with Carr’s unwillingness to take shots and his decision-making last season, what makes the head coach believe Winston will be any different?

While the former No. 1 overall pick did lead the NFL with 5,109 passing yards, he became the the first quarterback in NFL history with 30-plus touchdowns and 30-plus interceptions in the same season.
