The Raiders are close to finalizing a deal with Gareon Conley

The Oakland Raiders still haven’t been able to see last year’s first-round pick, Gareon Conley, do much for them in his second year.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media and his colleague, Jim Trotter, Conley has missed the last few days and is expected to miss the next couple of weeks with a hip strain.

Rapoport did note that, when Conley has been on the field, he’s impressed, but that’s a similar story to what happened last year.

During his rookie campaign, Conley managed to appear in just two games for Oakland. He managed seven total tackles in those two games but was ultimately placed on IR with a shin injury.
