Report: Percy Harvin will ‘definitely’ play in 2016

Percy Harvin

Percy Harvin missed most of the 2015 NFL season due to a re-occurring hip injury, but he “definitely” will play in 2016, per Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk.

Recently, Buffalo Bills general manager Doug Whaley said Harvin was considering his options and that not playing was on the table.

Apparently the itch to go out and compete has gotten the better of Harvin, who has received offers from the Bills and other teams, per Florio’s report.

Harvin reportedly understands there won’t be any other chances for him if he cannot perform at a high level in 2016, and he’s “looking for the right situation.”

When healthy, the former Florida star is a dynamic playmaker with the quickness and speed to take any ball to the house for six points.

The problem is that Harvin hasn’t been able to play an entire season since his first three campaigns. Since 2012, he’s missed 36 games and has failed to live up to the hype that surrounded him during his firestorm early years.

Any contract Harvin signs, whether it’s with the Bills or another squad, will be incentive-laden and will likely contain very little guaranteed cash.
