Report: Paxton Lynch works out for Lions

Denver Broncos quarterback Paxton Lynch

After being released by the Denver Broncos, former first-round pick Paxton Lynch continues to look around for another opportunity in the NFL.

On Friday, Lynch visited the Detroit Lions and participated in a tryout with the team. It was the quarterback’s second workout with a team this week.

In two seasons with the Broncos, Lynch completed 70-of-128 pass attempts for 792 yards with four touchdowns, four interceptions and four fumbles.

As of now, this appears to just be the Lions conducting some research and exploring their options on the quarterback market. Matt Cassel is currently the primary backup to Matthew Stafford.
