Julian Edelman and his New England Patriots would love to be preparing for Super Bowl LIV. Instead, the star receiver is recovering from shoulder surgery after New England shockingly fell in the AFC Wildcard round.
The good news here is that said surgery won’t have any impact on Edelman’s ability to be ready for New England’s off-season program, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
It was previously noted that Edelman played through torn rib cartilage he suffered early in the season.
The 33-year-old Edelman caught 100 passes for 1,117 yards and six touchdowns this past season. It represented the receiver’s third 1,000-yard campaign.
