The Oklahoma City Thunder are looking to be big-time players in the Western Conference once again. According to ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne the Indiana Pacers have dealt All-Star Paul George to Oklahoma City.

Shams Charania of The Vertical goes on to report that Victor Oladipo and Domantas Sabonis are heading back to Indiana in the deal.
This is a trade that no one really saw coming. The Houston Rockets, Boston Celtics and Cleveland Cavaliers were the teams most bandied about in trade discussions with Indiana for George.
It is also interesting that this is all Indiana could get back for George after demanding a ridiculous price in trade talks with the Boston Celtics earlier in the week.
This is most definitely Oklahoma City’s way of replacing Kevin Durant as Russell Westbrook’s top running partner. And while George is no KD, it’s definitely a move that could potentially shake up the Western Conference.
