Tom Brady is the most talked-about impending NFL free agent in recent memory. But it seems the interest in signing the future Hall of Fame quarterback reportedly isn’t as robust as many expect.

On Tuesday’s Dan Patrick Show, host Dan Patrick revealed that a source inside the NFL indicated perhaps only two or three teams are even interested in signing Brady.

“I was told it’s probably more like two or three teams that are really interested in Brady,” Patrick said, via The Dan Patrick Show. “One of those teams is Tampa Bay. My source said Tampa wants to be in love with Brady, but they don’t know if Brady wants to be in love with Tampa.”

While rumors earlier this offseason hinted that Brady would receive interest from multiple contenders, recent reports indicate that the actual market isn’t as strong. In fact, it might be Brady that is more interested in other teams than they are with signing him.

The Buccaneers are reportedly willing to give Brady whatever he wants to sign with them. The Tennessee Titans have been connected to the 42-year-old quarterback, but it might be a tactic to drive down Ryan Tannehill’s price.

Brady’s resume is unmatched by anyone throughout NFL history. But he showed visible signs of decline this offseason and teams seem to believe he is one of the more overrated options available.

If there isn’t a strong enough market for his services, it might be just enough to push Brady back to the Patriots.
