Report: ‘No physical limitations’ for Teddy Bridgewater

Teddy Bridgewater

As Teddy Bridgewater returns to practice for the first time since August of 2016, the largest question on everyone’s mind is just how he’ll respond to the practice field.

Bridgewater suffered a horrendous knee injury in practice during training camp leading up to last season. He’s since been out for nearly the past 14 months recovering.

Having been activated from the physically unable to perform (PUP) list on Monday, the Vikings have a three-week window to either put him on the 53-man roster or send an injured reserve designation the quarterback’s way.

It looks like the former might be the case here. According to NFL Media’s Tom Pelissero, Bridgewater has no physical limitations as he returns to practice.

Barring a setback, there’s a chance the former first-round pick could start here in the not-so-distant future.

That could be good news for a Vikings team that just recently saw Sam Bradford reaggravate the knee injury that cost him three games earlier in the season. It’s not yet known how long Bradford might be out, but a recent report in that regard doesn’t seem too positive.

For now, it looks like Case Keenum will be under center over the short term. After that, there could potentially be an in-season quarterback controversy in Minnesota.
