The Washington Nationals are going to continue boasting one of the better bullpens in MLB after this unit helped the team to the World Series title last season.

According to Jon Heyman of MLB Network, Washington has re-signed veteran reliever Daniel Hudson.

Hudson, 32, pitched to a 1.44 ERA and 0.88 WHIP while striking out 23 batters in 25 innings for the Nationals after they acquired him from the Toronto Blue Jays.

The former starter did give up four runs in four innings of work against the Houston Astros in the World Series. That doesn’t make this any less significant for the Nationals.

Hudson will continue to team up with Sean Doolittle to form a dominant back end of the bullpen this coming season.

The deal itself is said to be for two years. No financials have been reported of yet.
