Report: Mitch Trubisky avoids surgery, will be back ‘sooner rather than later’

The Chicago Bears got positive news after Mitch Trubisky underwent an MRI to determine what kind of damage he sustained on his left shoulder injury.

Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Trubisky has a dislocated left shoulder, with a slight labrum tear, but doesn’t need surgery. He’s not expected to play against Oakland in Week 5 in London, but should be back “sooner rather than later.”

While Trubisky remains out of action Sunday, the Bears will continue to rely on Chase Daniel, who wasn’t incredible but did enough in Week 4 to help the team beat the Minnesota Vikings.
