Report: Marshawn Lynch, Seahawks ‘open to a reunion’ as free agent flies to Seattle

Marshawn Lynch

Well this escalated quickly. On Sunday night, it was speculated by many that the Seattle Seahawks and Marshawn Lynch might reunite. On Monday morning, Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reported Lynch is traveling to Seattle and that there is mutual interest.

Lynch hasn’t played since last season, when he appeared in six games for the Oakland Raiders, tallying 376 yards and three touchdowns on the ground.

He’s dealt with injuries throughout the latter stage of his career. But if Beast Mode is healthy and eager to run wild, the Seahawks certainly could use the help. Chris Carson and C.J. Prosise were both ruled out for the season after Sunday’s loss, and Rashaad Penny was already on IR with a torn ACL.

The Seahawks have a huge game coming up on Sunday night as the San Francisco 49ers are coming to Seattle. The winner will claim the NFC West. The loser will be a road team in the wild-card round.
