Report: Marshawn Lynch could still be an option for Seattle Seahawks

Marshawn Lynch

The idea that Marshawn Lynch could once more return to the NFL and play for the Seattle Seahawks isn’t going away any time soon. Back in March, reports emerged that Lynch and the Seahawks were potentially open to a reunion.

Now comes more information about when or how that could happen.

Marshawn Lynch ‘would head the list’ if Seahawks need in-season replacement

Reporting for NFL Network Wednesday, Michael Silver noted that Lynch “would head the list of emergency in-season replacements if injuries strike, and if he wants to play.”

Remember, Lynch came back out of retirement last season when Seattle was desperate for help. He ended up having a few moments reminiscent of his “Beast Mode” days.

But overall, he wasn’t quite as explosive as fans might remember.

All told, appearing in one regular-season game, Lynch totaled 34 yards and a touchdown. Then in the playoffs, Lynch gained 58 yards and three touchdowns from scrimmage.
