Report: LSU assistant Joe Brady to become Panthers offensive coordinator

Joe Brady Panthers

New Carolina Panthers head coach Matt Rhule has pulled off a coup of epic proportions.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, LSU passing game coordinator Joe Brady is set to become the Panthers’ new offensive coordinator.

Brady, 30, led an absolutely dynamic Tigers offense this past season en route to the team earning the national title and quarterback Joe Burrow winning the Heisman Trophy.

Seen as somewhat of a genius on the offensive side of the ball, Brady should work wonders with Rhule in Carolina.

Whether that’s with Cam Newton or another quarterback under center remains to be seen. What we do know is that the Panthers have built themselves a tremendous coaching staff. This is the latest example.

Brady’s only other NFL coaching experience came as an offensive assistant under Sean Payton with the Saints in 2017 and 2018.
