Report: Le’Veon Bell will return to Steelers before regular season begins

Le’Veon Bell has been holding out of training camp after he and the Pittsburgh Steelers failed to come to a long-term agreement on a contract extension.

However, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Bell will return to the Steelers before the regular season. Though, it remains unclear exactly when he’ll be back.

Recently, Bell’s teammates have been begging him to come back as soon as possible. One teammate even said he’d be willing to give up a year’s worth of salary to get Bell to report.

Though, on the flip side, general manager Kevin Colbert had some not-so-nice things to say about the holdout.

The Steelers desperately need their star running back to come back sooner, rather than later. It’s going to take some time for Bell to get into game shape, even if he’s been training every single day during his time away from the team.

When he’s healthy, no running back can do what Bell can do. In 12 games last year, he averaged 157 yards per contest. When he went down with a groin injury in the playoffs, the Steelers offense fell apart.
