Report: Lakers to work out Dion Waiters Monday

The Los Angeles Lakers opened up a roster spot Sunday by waiving Troy Daniels. On Monday they’ll work out Dion Waiters, per Dave McMenamin and Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

Waiters last played in late January. He was traded to the Memphis Grizzlies as part of a three-team trade with the Minnesota Timberwolves, then subsequently waived by Memphis afterward.

The most notable aspect of Waiters’ most recent career activities is that he was suspended twice by the Miami Heat for conduct detrimental to the team, and continued insubordination, last year.
