After missing the past 25 games to a shoulder injury, Brooklyn Nets star guard Kyrie Irving will return to the court Sunday against the Atlanta Hawks.
This news comes to us via Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN and has to be seen as great news for the Nets.
There was some concern that Irving’s injury might be longer term, especially after he sought out opinions from outside the organization.
Irving is averaging 28.5 points, 5.4 rebounds and 7.2 assists in 11 games this season.
With the big-time free-agent acquisition out a majority of the season, Brooklyn heads into Sunday’s action with a 17-20 record.
