Report: Kings sign veteran Vince Carter to one-year, $8 million deal

Vince Carter to the Warriors?

The Sacramento Kings continued adding to an ever-changing roster on Thursday, reportedly signing 19-year veteran Vince Carter to a one-year, $8 million contract.

Carter, 40, had previously experessed interest in joining a contender such as the Golden State Warriors. But in the end, it’s clear the 10-time All-Star wanted yet another payday in the twilight of what should be a Hall of Fame career.

This past season for the Memphis Grizzlies, Carter averaged 8.0 points while shooting at a 38 percent clip from three-point range.

The addition of Carter comes the same week that Sacramento signed veterans George Hill and Zach Randolph. Couple that with a tremendously successful 2017 NBA Draft, and the Kings appear ready to be competitive this upcoming season.
