Kevon Looney staying with Warriors on 3-year deal

Center Kevon Looney is returning to the Golden State Warriors on a three-year, $25.5 million deal, ESPN reported Friday.

Looney, 26, played all 82 games (80 starts) last season and averaged 6.0 points and 7.3 rebounds while shooting 57.1 percent from the field.

He is coming off his third championship with the Warriors after averaging 5.0 points and 7.5 boards in the 2022 NBA Finals against the Boston Celtics.

The 6-foot-9 Looney has spent his entire career with the Warriors, averaging 4.7 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 367 games (150 starts) across seven seasons. Golden State drafted him in the first round (30th overall) in 2015.
