More interesting quarterback news breaking Monday afternoon. Reports indicate that the New York Jets recently hosted quarterback Josh Freeman for a workout.
Josh Freeman had recent workout with Jets. I'm told he did well. Several other teams taking hard look at him.

This comes on the heels of news breaking that Tim Tebow visited with the Philadelphia Eagles.
The last time we saw Freeman on football field was in his horrific debut with the Minnesota Vikings where he played in only one game, passing for 190 yards, zero touchdowns and one interception back in 2013.
The highlight of Freeman’s career thus far comes from his 2012 season in Tampa Bay where he managed 4,065 passing yards and 27 touchdowns to 17 interceptions. That was also the same year Freeman saw a full season of action.
According to the tweet above, the Jets are not the only team interested in Freeman. Considering there are just a few available quarterbacks left in the league for teams to target for depth, the fact that teams may be competing for Freeman’s services in 2015 falls into the totally desperate category.
If Freeman signs with the Jets, he would likely compete with newly signed Ryan Fitzpatrick to compete for the backup job behind Geno Smith. Something Freeman has over Fitzpatrck is youth. At only 27, Freeman is younger with a tad more upside.
If anyone is seriously interested in the former first-round pick, it wouldn’t be the craziest thing that has occurred within the NFL this past week.
