Report: Johnny Manziel NOT living with Von Miller

Despite what Johnny Manziel told TMZ over the weekend in what appeared to be a rather inebriated state, the ex-Cleveland Browns quarterback is not living with Von Miller in Los Angeles, per Mike Klis of 9News in Denver.

Given the fact that Manziel recently said he is not out there drinking it up (again, per TMZ), when all the evidence points to the contrary, this shouldn’t be shocking at all.

What we’re seeing is a man who seems to be addicted not only to the party scene, alcohol and ticking off coaches, but also to the spotlight. And he doesn’t seem to be grasping the fact that nobody is buying what he’s selling any more.

Rumors that the Denver Broncos had reached out to Manziel about a potential roster spot turned out to be nothing more than a concerned coach looking out for a player he cares about. Other than that, there has been zero positive chatter about any NFL team showing any real interest in the troubled quarterback.

Even discounting all his off-field issues, which still do include a grand jury hearing about a harrowing domestic violence incident against his ex-girlfriend, Colleen Crowley, Manziel isn’t exactly a prize on the field. During his first two years in the league he completed just 57 percent of his passes and averaged just 111.7 yards per game while throwing seven touchdowns and seven interceptions.

Maybe Manziel meant to say he was hanging out with Miller, rather than actually staying at his house.

Whatever the case, the fact that his statement turned out to be false is just one more thing in a long list of things that point to the fact Manziel likely won’t be on any team’s roster when training camps roll around in July.
