Report: Jeff Fisher signed 2-year contract extension with Rams

Eric Dickerson and a whole lot of other Los Angeles Rams fans won’t be too excited to hear Jeff Fisher has inked an extension to remain with the club for at least two more years.

This news comes by way of ESPN’s Adam Schefter, who reports general manager Les Snead has also signed an extension.

“Sources have told ESPN that they believe the deal includes a team option for the Rams, who still could part ways with Fisher after the season and owe him only one year of salary.”

The deal has “been done a while,” the source told Schefter.

This shouldn’t be too surprising. Rams COO Kevin Demoff recently lauded Fisher for having done a “model job” for the franchise during the transition from St. Louis to Los Angeles and hinted his job was safe.

The Rams have gone 4-7 under Fisher this year and have gone 31-43-1 since he took the job.
