Report: Jalen Ramsey asking price turning interested teams away

The Jacksonville Jaguars are asking for a king’s ransom in return for any Jalen Ramsey trade offers, and that has apparently scared interested teams away.

Ramsey requested to be traded following Sunday’s loss to the Houston Texans. Albert Breer of The MMQB reported Tuesday that Jacksonville is seeking two first-round picks in a trade.

That’s a ton of draft currency to give up for any player. Complicating matters all the more is that Ramsey is due for a massive contract extension, currently playing out the fourth year of his rookie deal.

A two-time Pro Bowler and 2017 First-team All-Pro, Ramsey is a proven commodity and one of the best cover corners in the NFL. However, it’s hardly surprising that teams are balking at this price tag.
