This follows a report that indicated the 76ers would hold Okafor out of games until after the All-Star break as they looked for the ideal trade partner to unload the talented center (more on that here).
Okafor has reportedly been informed that the 76ers have been discussing a potential trade with four teams.

The second-year man out of Duke has been the odd man out for the center-heavy 76ers this season, even though he’s shown plenty of promise when given the opportunity to perform. In 37 games, he’s averaged 11.6 points, 4.8 rebounds, one assist and one block per game — numbers that are significantly down from last year, which coincides with a drop-off in minutes played.
Given the series of events that has unfolded, it seems like only a matter of time before a trade is announced that will sent Okafor to another team. This is likely great news for his career, as it would give him an opportunity to play more frequently for a team that needs help at the center position.
