Just days after suffering a broken collarbone in Week 1, Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Nick Foles is already establishing a goal for himself to return to the field before December.

According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, Foles is loosely targeting a return in Week 11 when the team would travel to play the Indianapolis Colts.

According to the report, Foles is currently expected to need 10-to-12 weeks to recover from the broken collarbone. He is obviously hoping it heals quicker and allows him to return after 10 weeks, though, Jacksonville will likely play it safe given its investment in Foles this offseason.

A return in Week 12 would still allow Foles to face a division opponent. The Jaguars are set to face the Tennessee Titans on Nov. 24 in a battle that could have consequences for the divisional standings.

Rookie Gardner Minshew will remain Jacksonville’s starter while Foles is sidelined. The sixth-round pick excelled off the bench in Week 1 with 275 passing yards, two touchdowns and 22-of-25 passes completed.
