Report: Former Microsoft CEO to Buy the Los Angeles Clippers

According to the Los Angeles Times, former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer has won the bidding for the Los Angeles Clippers and will purchase the team from Shelly Sterling for a whopping $2 billion. 

Ballmer beat out a ton of suitors to purchase the up-and-coming Clippers franchise. He took over as Microsoft’s CEO from Bill Gates back in January of 2000. He had been with the multi-billion dollar technology giants since 1980.

According to Forbes, Ballmer’s net worth is $20 billion, making him the 35th-richest person in the world.
