Los Angeles Rams defensive lineman Dominique Easley suffered a knee injury at practice Tuesday, and it’s believed to be significant.

Originally a first-round pick by the New England Patriots in 2014 out of Florida, he was surprisingly released by New England in 2016. Afterwards, Easley signed with the Ras and played in all 16 games, having the best year of his career with 24 tackles and 3.5 sacks as a rotational player.

This injury, if it is indeed significant in nature, will be a big blow to the Rams. While he wasn’t a starter, Easley was slated to be the primary backup to starting nose tackle Michael Brockers in Wade Phillips’ 3-4 scheme.
