Report: Falcons leaning against firing Dan Quinn

At 1-6 on the season, the Atlanta Falcons are already simply playing out the stretch. It’s been a disastrous start to Dan Quinn’s fifth season in Atlanta.

Despite this, Falcons owner Arthur Blank continues to go to bat for his head coach.

According to this report, Atlanta is leaning against firing Quinn following Sunday’s game against the Seattle Seahawks.

It stands to reason that any move to fire Quinn would happen this week. Atlanta is on a bye Week 9.

Even then, it appears that Blank is showing loyalty by allowing Quinn to coach the remainder of the season.

His Falcons have posted a 8-15 record over the past two seasons after Quinn led them to double-digit victories in consecutive seasons, including a trip to the Super Bowl back in 2016.
