Stemming from an arrest in January, former Seattle Seahawks cornerback Jeremy Lane has been reportedly formally charged with driving while under the influence, per Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times.
After the initial arrest, video emerged of Lane telling cops he was more high than drunk, and police smelled an odor of marijuana when Lane was pulled over. Per the report, Lane was found to have a blood alcohol content of .039, which is less than half the legal limit in the state of Washington.
Now that Lane has been charged for DWI, he has a court date of March 26 for his arraignment
The Seahawks recently released Lane to save $11 million against the cap for the next two years. He has yet to sign with a new team in free agency. Last year, he started six games for Seattle, tallying 41 tackles.
