Report: Eagles WR Josh Huff arrested Tuesday morning in Philadelphia

It’s been pretty quiet for the NFL off the field thus far this season. That’s most definitely a good thing, as players have decided to behave more than in previous years.

Unfortunately, this apparently hasn’t translated to Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Josh Huff.

According to this report from CSN Philly, Huff was arrested early Tuesday morning for speeding. He was reportedly in possession of marijuana and a firearm at the time of the arrest.

From the report.

“Eagles wide receiver/kick returner Josh Huff was arrested on the Walt Whitman Bridge Tuesday morning, per a source familiar with the situation. Huff allegedly was speeding and in possession of marijuana and a gun.”

It’s not yet known whether Huff had a permit for the gun.

The Eagles did release a statement following the arrest.

“We are aware of the incident today involving Josh Huff. At this point, we are gathering more information,” the statement read.

Already potentially in the market for a receiver, this could force the Eagles’ hand leading up to Tuesday afternoon’s trade deadline.

As it relates to Huff, he might very well be in hot water with authorities in Philadelphia. Possessing marijuana could also be the least of his worries here.

We will update this story as more information becomes available.
