Nick Foles is preparing to lead the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LII, and he’s done an amazing job since Carson Wentz was lost for the season with an ACL injury. Now, just hours ahead of the big game a report emerged that Philly will consider trading Foles this offseason.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reported Sunday that the Eagles are preparing to receive likely multiple calls from quarterback-needy teams looking to trade for Foles. He notes teams see Foles as a starter now, and that the Eagles would definitely consider trading him.

This report isn’t all that shocking. As Rapoport noted, the Eagles are comfortable with their entire quarterback room, including Nate Sudfield, who is the backup to Foles in Super Bowl LII.

When Wentz returns to action, Foles will be relegated to the bench once again, and given the way he’s performed this postseason the Eagles should strike while the iron is hot. Quarterbacks are valued extremely highly by NFL teams, and we’ve seen some crazy trades go down involving guys you never would have thought could garner such a price tag.
