Report: Dwyane Wade may have already decided on reunion with LeBron James

After the Chicago Bulls and Dwyane Wade reached a buyout agreement over the weekend, the future Hall of Fame guard will likely be free to sign with another NBA team on Wednesday.

While the two newest members of the Oklahoma City Thunder have already been recruiting Wade, the Cleveland Cavaliers have always seemed like his logical destination.

According to Joe Vardon of Cleveland.com, that could be close to coming to fruition.

“Dwyane Wade is leaning heavily toward the Cavaliers as his new team once he clears waivers and may have already decided on a reunion with LeBron James, league sources with knowledge of Wade’s thinking told cleveland.com,” Vardon reported on Tuesday.

In no way should this come as a surprise. There was always a good chance that LeBron and Wade would reunite after the two won multiple titles with the Miami Heat.

Cleveland is also in need of a two-guard to go with the recently acquired Isaiah Thomas in the backcourt. Even at 35 years old, Wade has proven that he can still score. The veteran averaged 18.3 points last season with Chicago. He would add yet another level of offense for a Cavs team looking to earn a fourth consecutive Eastern Confrence title.
