The Miami Dolphins are reportedly favorites to land Houston Texans Pro Bowl pass rusher Jadeveon Clowney.
While the star edge rusher might not be happy with that possibility, he did just meet with the Dolphins’ brass as trade rumors circulate ahead of Week 1.
Any move to acquire Clowney would require either a first-round pick and change or a proven player and other draft pick assets.
It’s in this that Dolphins left tackle Laremy Tunsil has been bandied about on the trade block this summer.
But according to Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle, Miami is not willing to include Tunsil in trade talks with the Texans.
Tunsil is the one player on Miami’s roster that might entice Houston. Quarterback Deshaun Watson was hit an NFL-high 126 times last season.
It goes without saying that Houston could use Tunsil to head what is a questionable offensive line.
If the Dolphins are unwilling to move Tunsil as part of a package for Clowney, it might complicate things when it comes to a potential trade.
