The Dodgers are close to re-signing outfielder Jason Heyward to a one-year deal, ESPN reported Monday.

The 34-year-old free agent batted .269 with 15 homers and 40 RBIs in 124 games with Los Angeles in 2023.

He is a career .258 hitter with 174 homers and 681 RBIs in 1,703 games with the Atlanta Braves (2010-14), St. Louis Cardinals (2015), Chicago Cubs (2016-22) and Dodgers.

Heyward is a five-time Gold Glove winner and made the National League All-Star team in 2010. He won a World Series with the Cubs in 2016.

He played last season on a one-year, $720,000 contract.
