Seattle Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf is absent from the team’s mandatory minicamp, which began Tuesday, NFL Network reported.

The absence comes amid contract talks between the three-year player and the team. Metcalf is rehabbing from foot surgery in Los Angeles, per the report.

Metcalf is slated to make $3.986 million in 2022, the fourth and final year of his rookie deal.

Metcalf, 24, has 216 catches for 3,170 yards and 29 touchdowns in 49 career games (48 starts) for Seattle. The Seahawks drafted Metcalf in the second round (64th overall) of the 2019 draft. He made the Pro Bowl after the 2020 season.

Metcalf is subject to fines if his absence is deemed unexcused. Metcalf reportedly was present for parts of the team’s voluntary organized team activities.
