D’Eriq King will return to Houston in 2020 after redshirting this year

This is really a wild, weird story. D’Eriq King has decided to sit out the remainder of the 2019 college football season and redshirt. This was known.

But instead of entering the transfer portal he intends to return to Houston in 2020.

When the news broke that King would sit out the rest of this season, most assumed he would transfer to a different school. This notion was seemingly bolstered by comments his own father made.

One wonders if something else is going on behind the scenes with King that will be revealed at a later date.

Through four games in 2019, King passed for 663 yards with six touchdowns and two interceptions, adding 312 yards and six touchdowns on the ground. He also broke a huge record set by Tim Tebow.
