Danny Amendola restructured his contract on Friday to stay with the New England Patriots, per Mike Garofolo of FOX Sports.

This should help New England immensely. Before the move, the Pats were dealing with a terrible cap situation, actually over the cap by more than $11 million, per Spotrac.
No doubt more moves are upcoming, as this one deal won’t fix that situation entirely.
For Amendola, this means he can still make a decent amount of money catching passes from Tom Brady for the next couple of years. It’s a win-win, because in all honesty he probably wasn’t going to land in a better situation than the one he’s currently in.
Amendola hasn’t exactly lived up to the expectations that were upon him when he came over to New England from the then St. Louis Rams. He was set to cost the Pats more than $14 million the next two years but obviously hadn’t proved he was worth that kind of cash.
In three years with New England, Amendola’s best campaign came last season when he started seven games, caught 65 passes for 648 yards and three touchdowns.
