Buffalo Bills offensive lineman Cyrus Kouandjio has some explaining to do after a strange incident involving police, though thankfully he was not arrested.
“According to a police source, Kouandjio was found, not fully clothed, in a field after climbing over an electric fence,” wrote Vic Carucci of The Buffalo News. “When an Erie County Sheriff’s deputy went to detain him, the source said, the 6-foot-7, 322-pound Kouandjio yelled, ‘Shoot me!'”
Carucci also reports Kouandjio was not present Thursday for Bills’ minicamp.
The team made a statement on the matter.
“We are aware of the matter involving Cyrus and are carefully monitoring his condition and gathering more information,” the Bills said in a statement. “We don’t have all of the details, so we won’t have any further comment at this time.”
Kouandjio, a former Alabama star, has started seven games for Buffalo since being drafted in the second round (44th overall) of the 2014 NFL Draft.
