The Dallas Cowboys and head coach Jason Garrett could very well be facing a must win this coming Sunday night against the Philadelphia Eagles.

At 3-3 on the season and in the midst of a three-game losing streak, Dallas needs to get off the schneid. Unfortunately, the team is planning to be without No. 1 receiver Amari Cooper for the game.

“I’m told the thigh bruise Cooper sustained in the early going in Sunday’s loss at the Jets is problematic enough that it could need more than just this week to heal,” Mike Fisher of Cowboy Maven reported.

That’s obviously not what Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott had in mind when he insisted that they are starting this week with a clean slate.

Cooper suffered the thigh injury during Dallas’ humiliating loss to the previously winless New York Jets in Week 6. The impending free agent has been dealing with lower-body injuries since the offseason.

Cooper, 25, has caught 86 passes for 1,240 yards and 11 touchdowns in 15 games since being acquired from the Oakland Raiders last season.
