The Dallas Cowboys have not officially announced they’ve moved on from head coach Jason Garrett. With the long-embattled head man’s contract expiring, they don’t need to.

It’s in this that the writing is on the wall. If the Cowboys’ first slate of interviews is any indication, Garrett is gone.

That includes owner Jerry Jones and Co. meeting with former Cincinnati Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis on Saturday. Lewis joins former Green Bay Packers head man Mike McCarthy to get the first interviews.

This specific interview can’t inspire too much confidence in Cowboys fans. Lewis was the Bengals’ head coach from 2003-18. He led the team to seven playoff appearances, failing to win a single postseason game in the process.

Cincinnati also finished 19-28-1 in Lewis’ final three seasons with the team.
