Report: Colts and Titans interested in Jarvis Landry trade

Jarvis Landry

The Miami Dolphins and receiver Jarvis Landry are in talks about a long term contract extension. But if that can’t happen, at least two teams are reportedly interested in a trade.

ESPN’s Josina Anderson detailed the latest on negotiations. At the end of her report, she cited two AFC South teams as possible trade destinations.

If this doesn’t get done and there’s still strong belief that the team is trying to trade him, I would keep an eye on the Indianapolis Colts and Tennessee Titans.”

Both teams should certainly be looking to upgrade their receivers in the offseason.

Despite making the playoffs, the Titans caught only 306 passes for 3,191 yards in 2017, ranking 26th and 23rd in each category. The Colts, meanwhile, went 4-12. They were dead last in the NFL with 285 receptions, and ranked 30th in the league with 2,892 yards.

Landry, meanwhile, had 987 receiving yards, while setting career high in both receptions (112) and touchdowns (9).

The Dolphins are reportedly interested in moving Landry to get in position to draft a quarterback. If that’s accurate, Indianapolis (who selects No. 3 overall) would be a natural trade target.
