Report: Clippers to buy out Isaiah Thomas after Marcus Morris trade

Isaiah Thomas, trade, Wizards

The Los Angeles Clippers acquired guard Isaiah Thomas as part of the three-team trade that landed them Marcus Morris, but he is not part of their plans this season.

In fact, according to David Aldridge of The Athletic, the Clippers will not keep Thomas on the roster at all.

This means a buyout is coming for the former star point guard, whose career has never been the same since a hip injury derailed his career late during the 2016-17 season.

Thomas would become immediately eligible to sign with another team if he is bought out by the Clippers. While he’s not the same dynamic player he was before his injury, the veteran has averaged 12.2 points and 3.6 assists per game this year with the Washington Wizards and will probably not stay unemployed for long.
