It’s been a turbulent offseason for the Cleveland Cavaliers, but the front office is about to get more stable. According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the team is close to promoting Koby Altman to the general manager role.
After extended talks, the hiring of Koby Altman as Cleveland's new GM is imminent, league sources tell ESPN. Altman was Cavs' assistant GM.

One of Altman’s first orders of business will certainly be either attempting to smooth the team’s relationship with Kyrie Irving or giving in to the point guard’s request for a trade.
The Cavaliers have been without a general manager since David Griffin was let go (reportedly without LeBron James’ knowledge) shortly after the NBA Finals.
Altman has been with the Cavaliers since 2012 and was promoted to the assistant GM role just before the 2016-17 season.
