The rebuilding Cleveland Cavaliers have signed one their core young players to an extension locking him up for the long term.

According to Marc Stein of The NY Times, Cleveland has signed forward Cedi Osman to a four-year, $31 million extension.

A second-round pick of the Minnesota Timberwolves back in 2015, Osman was dealt to Cleveland on draft day.

The forward is coming off a career-best 2018-19 campaign that saw him average 13.0 points, 4.7 rebounds and 2.6 assists while shooting at a 43% mark from the field.

At just 24 years old, Osman figures to be one of the core players Cleveland builds around moving forward.
