After another awful loss Saturday, Butch Jones was fired the University of Tennessee. According to Bruce Feldman of FOX Sports, Jones informed his staff he’s been let go.

Saturday’s blowout loss to Missouri was the team’s fifth loss in six weeks. Included among those losses was a brutal shutout against Georgia and two narrow defeats at the hands of South Carolina and Kentucky. This latest loss featured multiple failures on both sides of the ball.
The Volunteers are now 4-6 on the season and have not yet won a single game against SEC competition.
