Report: Bulls trade Jimmy Butler to Minnesota for Zach LaVine, Kris Dunn, No. 7 pick

One of the NBA’s best two-way players may soon be on his way to the Minnesota Timberwolves. According to Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical, the Timberwolves have acquired Jimmy Butler from the Chicago Bulls.

Wojnarowski reported that in exchange, the Bulls landed┬áZach LaVine, Kris Dunn and Minnesota’s No. 7 pick.

Minnesota also picked up the 16th pick from Chicago in the deal.

This will reunite Butler with┬áTom Thibodeau, who was Butler’s head coach with the Chicago from the time Butler was drafted (2011) through the 2014-15 season.

Butler will join one of the NBA’s most promising young teams, which includes Karl Anthony Towns and Andrew Wiggins.
