The Milwaukee Bucks and Serge Ibaka have agreed to find a new home for the veteran center, The Athletic reported Friday.
Ibaka, 33, will remain away from the team during the search for a trade partner, per the report. He has not played since New Year’s Day.
He is averaging 4.1 points, 2.8 rebounds and 11.6 minutes in 16 games off the Milwaukee bench so far this season.
A two-time NBA leader in blocks and three-time All-Defensive Team selection, Ibaka won an NBA championship with the Toronto Raptors in 2018-19.
He owns career averages of 12.0 points, 7.1 rebounds and 1.9 blocks in 919 games (697 starts) over 14 seasons with the Oklahoma City Thunder, Orlando Magic, Raptors, Los Angeles Clippers and Bucks. Ibaka is the NBA’s active leader with 1,759 career blocked shots.
