Center Brook Lopez is joining teammate Khris Middleton in returning to the Milwaukee Bucks, ESPN reported on Saturday.
Lopez’s deal is worth $48 million over two years, the outlet reported. The move keeps the core of the Bucks’ 2021 championship team intact.
Lopez, 35, appeared in 78 games (all starts) in 2022-23, ranking third on the team in points per game (15.9) and third in rebounds per game (6.7) while pacing the squad with a career-best 2.5 blocks per game.
Over 15 seasons with the New Jersey/Brooklyn Nets, Los Angeles Lakers and Milwaukee Bucks, Lopez has appeared in 946 games (906 starts), averaging 16.4 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.8 blocks.
On Friday, Middleton agreed to a reported three-year, $102 million deal.
Limited to just 33 games (19 starts) last season, Middleton averaged 15.1 points, 4.9 assists and 4.2 rebounds. He has averaged 17.0 points, 4.8 rebounds and 3.8 assists for his career.
