Report: Browns hire Eagles Andrew Berry and EVP and GM

The Cleveland Browns finally have that front office head to team up with new head coach Kevin Stefanski.

According to multiple media reports, Cleveland has hired former Philadelphia Eagles VP of football operations Andrew Berry to be the team’s new executive VP and general manager.

This move comes after Minnesota Vikings assistant general manager George Paton pulled his name out of the running. Paton was seen as a favorite of Cleveland’s brass.

Berry, 32, becomes the youngest general manager in the NFL. The Harvard grad had previously turned down jobs in the economic sector, Goldman Sachs included, to pursue a career in pro football.

He’ll now be tasked with taking over one of the longest-downtrodden franchises in the professional sports world.
