Report: Broncos receiving calls for Emmanuel Sanders

The Denver Broncos might now be in sell-off mode following a blowout loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday.

Denver sits at 2-5 and three games out of first place. The team is going nowhere fast. That could lead to veteran receiver Emmanuel Sanders being moved.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Broncos are receiving calls about the 32-year old pass catcher. The report specifically mentions the New England Patriots and San Francisco 49ers as possible suitors.

Schefter also notes that the possibility of Sanders being moved ahead of the Oct. 29 deadline is real.

New England and San Francisco, the league’s only two remaining undefeated teams, have been mentioned as potential landing spots for Sanders in the past.

However, previous reports suggested that the Broncos turned down trade offers for the former Pro Bowler. For his part, Broncos general manager John Elway has also noted that no member of the team is on the trade block.

This report seems to push back against that.

Sanders has recorded 30 receptions for 367 yards in seven games this season.
