Report: Broncos land OG Ronald Leary on four-year, $35 million deal

The Denver Broncos, as expected, are aggressively pursuing free agents to fill holes on their roster. Offensive guard Ronald Leary is reportedly heading to the mile-high city on quite a lucrative deal for a guy who recently was displaced in Dallas.

Leary was a starting guard for the Dallas Cowboys from 2013-14 before being benched when La’el Collins came on strong in 2015. This didn’t sit well with the veteran, who requested a trade but didn’t get one.

He was back starting for the Cowboys last year, appearing in 12 games and helping the team dominate on the ground.

A very strong player up front, Leary is a road grader on running plays and a very adequate pass protector. He’ll immediately upgrade Denver’s offensive line, which needed help and is likely not done signing players to compete for starting jobs and depth.
